4-Benzyloxyphenol is used in the synthesis of bis(4-benzyloxyphenoxy)phenyl phosphine oxide. It plays an essential role in the preparation of hetaryl-azophenol dyes via heterocyclic amines in nitrosyl sulphuric acid. It is also used for polyester fiber dyeing and in rubber industry. It acts as a depigmenting agent.

El 4-benciloxifenol se utiliza en la síntesis de óxido de fosfina de bis(4-benciloxifenoxi)fenilo. Desempeña un papel esencial en la preparación de colorantes de hetaril-azofenol a través de aminas heterocíclicas en ácido sulfúrico de nitrosilo. También se utiliza para el teñido de la fibra de poliéster y en la industria del caucho. Actúa como agente despigmentante.
Solubilidad
Ligeramente soluble en agua. Soluble en alcohol, acetona, benceno y éter dietílico.
Notas
Mantener el recipiente bien cerrado en un lugar seco y bien ventilado. Incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes y bases fuertes.
