Descripción
Cholesteryl chloroformate is used in the preparation of hydrophobized chitosan oligosaccharide, which finds application as an efficient gene carrier. It acts as an initiator in the polymerization of methyl methacrylate.

AplicacionesEl cloroformato de colesterol se utiliza en la preparación de oligosacárido de quitosano hidrofobizado, que se aplica como un portador de genes eficaz. Actúa como iniciador en la polimerización del metacrilato de metilo.
Solubilidad
Soluble en cloruro de metileno, cloroformo, acetona, tolueno y benceno. Ligeramente soluble en metanol y etanol.
Nota
Sensible a la humedad. Incompatible con bases fuertes y agentes oxidantes fuertes.
