Descripción
Chromium(II) chloride is used in the condensation of aldehydes with trisubstituted chloroalkenes as well as in the synthesis of a highly active precatalyst for ethylene oligimerization. Further uses of chromium(II) chloride include the conversion of terminal olefins into trans-iodocyclopropanes (in conjunction with iodoform and tetraethyl ethylenediamine) with excellent results; generating bis(indenyl)chromium dimers and other various related products.
