Descripción

Salicin is used as an analgesic and antipyretic. It is also used as a substrate for beta-glucosidase and an inhibitor of Cox. It finds application as an anti-inflammatory agent. It is involved in antipyretic action without causing gastric injury.

Aplicaciones
La salicina se utiliza como analgésico y antipirético. También se utiliza como sustrato para la beta-glucosidasa y como inhibidor de Cox. Se aplica como agente antiinflamatorio. También aporta acción antipirética sin causar lesión gástrica.

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua, alcalinos, piridina, ácido acético glacial y etanol caliente. No soluble en éter y cloroformo.

Notas
Almacenar en un lugar fresco. Sensible a la luz y al calor. Sensible al aire y sensible a la humedad. Incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes.
