Descripción

Ethyl 4-bromobenzoate undergoes reduction with potassium diisobutyl-t-butoxyaluminum hydride (PDBBA) at 0°C to yield aldehydes. Reaction of ethyl 4-bromobenzoate and substituted benzyl chloride with zinc dust and a Pd catalyst is reported.

Aplicaciones
El 4-bromobenzoato de etilo se somete a una reducción con hidruro de diisobutil-t-butoxialuminio de potasio (PDBBA) a 0 °C para producir aldehídos. Se ha descrito una reacción del 4-bromobenzoato de etilo y del cloruro de bencilo sustituido con el polvo de zinc y un catalizador de Pd.
