Descripción
Methyl palmitate is used in the preparation of detergents, emulsifiers, wetting agents, stabilizers, resins, lubricants, plasticizers and animal feeds. It exhibits an anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic agent and prevents bleomycin-induced lung inflammation and fibrosis in rats. In addition, it also prevents carbon tetrachloride-induced liver fibrosis linked to reduce transforming growth factor beta, which is a secreted protein that controls proliferation, cellular differentiation and other functions in most cells.

El palmitato de metilo se utiliza en la preparación de detergentes, emulsionantes, humectantes, estabilizadores, resinas, lubricantes, plastificantes y alimentos para animales. Presenta un agente antiinflamatorio y antifibrótico y previene la inflamación pulmonar inducida por bleomicina, así como la fibrosis en ratas. Además, previene la fibrosis hepática inducida por tetracloruro de carbono relacionada con la reducción del factor de crecimiento transformador beta, que es una proteína secretada que controla la proliferación, la diferenciación celular y otras funciones en la mayoría de las células.
Solubilidad
Soluble en etanol, cloroformo, dimetilsulfóxido y dimetilformamida. Insoluble en agua.
Notas
Almacenar en un lugar fresco. Mantenga el recipiente bien cerrado en un lugar seco y bien ventilado. Incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes.
