3-Bromopyridine undergoes lithiation with LDA at low temperatures in the 4-position: Heterocycles, involved in formation of the Grignard by Mg exchange with i-PrMgCl and in transmetallation of the lithiated derivative with zinc chloride followed by treatment with an electrophile as a route to 4-substituted 3-bromopyridines.

Aplicaciones
La 3-Bromopiridina se somete a la litación con LDA a bajas temperaturas en la posición 4: heterociclos, implicados en la formación del Grignard por intercambio de Mg con i-PrMgCl y en la transmetalación del derivado litiado con cloruro de cinc seguida por el tratamiento con un electrófilo como vía hacia 3-bromopiridinas 4-sustituidos.

Soluble en agua (31 g/l a 20 °C).

Notas
Almacenar en un lugar fresco. Mantenga el recipiente bien cerrado en un lugar seco y bien ventilado. Los recipientes que se abren deben volver a sellarse cuidadosamente y mantenerse en posición vertical para evitar fugas. Incompatible con ácidos fuertes.
